Maree White is a self-taught New Zealand artist with over two decades of creative exploration behind her. She held her first solo exhibition at just ten years old in South Canterbury, foreshadowing a lifelong dedication to art.

In her early career, Maree painted murals throughout Reefton on the West Coast, bringing colour and story to public spaces. Later, she established a large woolshed studio in Waimate South, where she produced major works—including a striking 9-metre piece for a Queenstown film company—and began sharing her knowledge through teaching.
