A gently tilted head and relaxed, seated pose give Figure in Ferns a quietly contemplative presence. Soft grey and charcoal tones move across the sculpted form, contrasting with the intricate texture of the figure’s tall, coiled hair.

Sophie Lankovsky’s love of creating figures and portraits comes through in the expressive modelling of the clay. One leg extends while the other folds back, creating a graceful sense of movement within a moment of stillness.
