A thoughtful gaze, flower-dotted braids and a bright yellow earring bring warmth and personality to this striking portrait by Janice Corbishley.

Layers of ripped paper build texture and detail, with vivid reds and pale blues contrasting against fragments of printed text. Minimal acrylic on the face adds definition while keeping the collage at the heart of the work.
