Nerikomi Vase #33A

This striking vase by Greg Melville showcases the Japanese-inspired nerikomi technique, where contrasting coloured clays are layered and folded to create flowing, marbled patterns across the surface. 

From the base upward, the piece moves through bands of muted grey, organic marbling, and a pure white top edge—culminating in a glossy black interior glaze. The exterior remains matte and tactile, highlighting the raw beauty of the clay itself.

A refined sculptural piece for any contemporary space, it is equally suited to displaying fresh stems or simply standing alone to invite curiosity and admiration.
